How I became a French medical translator and Chartered Linguist

How did French Medical Translations come to be?

My name is Andrew Simpson and I love my job!  Around fifteen years ago, I first started my own company offering French legal translations to companies, law firms and private clients. It was a passion which stemmed from having spent a large period of my younger years growing up out in France. 

​

In 2013, I was headhunted to work for a number of Premier League football clubs as French translator and interpreter, working for Newcastle United, Sunderland AFC and Hull City for a number of years. This experience then allowed me to go on and work for Lyon Women's Team in their Champions League winning season as well as for the French Football Federation at Clairefontaine after I moved to Paris to live and work.

Unfortunately, I was struck down with a serious illness during my time living in Paris and found myself in a French hospital needing to undergo a lot of major operations. 

​

It was as a patient in a French hospital that I gained expertise in French medical translation before becoming a medical translator for myself...

As a French medical translator and Chartered Linguist, I provide accurate and reliable translations for medical documents, research papers, and other materials related to the healthcare industry. With my expertise in both French and English, I ensure that the meaning and tone of the original text are preserved in the translation. This expertise was first nurtured from my own personal experience as a patient having to read and understand my own French medical records, translate my own surgery reports for my surgeon in the UK and make sure that every detail was clearly translated from French to English.
